Bible 1. Ps. 103:2-4 (to 1st 😉 Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases; Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; 2. Mark 8:1 Jesus (to 3rd ,), 22-25 Jesus called his disciples unto him, ¶ And he cometh to Bethsaida; and they bring a blind man unto him, and besought him to touch him. And he took the blind man by the hand, and led him out of the town; and when he had spit on his eyes, and put his hands upon him, he asked him if he saw aught. And he looked up, and said, I see men as trees, walking. After that he put his hands again upon his eyes, and made him look up: and he was restored, and saw every man clearly. 3. Matt. 12:1 Jesus (to day), 10-13, 22-26, 28 Jesus went on the sabbath day ¶ And, behold, there was a man which had his hand withered. And they asked him, saying, Is it lawful to heal on the sabbath days? that they might accuse him. And he said unto them, What man shall there be among you, that shall have one sheep, and if it fall into a pit on the sabbath day, will he not lay hold on it, and lift it out? How much then is a man better than a sheep? Wherefore it is lawful to do well on the sabbath days. Then saith he to the man, Stretch forth thine hand. And he stretched it forth; and it was restored whole, like as the other. ¶ Then was brought unto him one possessed with a devil, blind, and dumb: and he healed him, insomuch that the blind and dumb both spake and saw. And all the people were amazed, and said, Is not this the son of David? But when the Pharisees heard it, they said, This fellow doth not cast out devils, but by Beelzebub the prince of the devils. And Jesus knew their thoughts, and said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand: And if Satan cast out Satan, he is divided against himself; how shall then his kingdom stand? … But if I cast out devils by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God is come unto you. 4. Matt. 17:14-21 ¶ And when they were come to the multitude, there came to him a certain man, kneeling down to him, and saying, Lord, have mercy on my son: for he is lunatic, and sore vexed: for ofttimes he falleth into the fire, and oft into the water. And I brought him to thy disciples, and they could not cure him. Then Jesus answered and said, O faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you? how long shall I suffer you? bring him hither to me. And Jesus rebuked the devil; and he departed out of him: and the child was cured from that very hour. Then came the disciples to Jesus apart, and said, Why could not we cast him out? And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you. Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting. 5. John 14:25, 26 (to 4th ,) These things have I spoken unto you, being yet present with you. But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, Science and Health 1. SH 271:20-22 Our Master said, “But the Comforter . . . shall teach you all things.” When the Science of Christianity appears, New Testament basis it will lead you into all truth. 2. SH 412:16-20, 23 To prevent disease or to cure it, the power of Truth, of divine Spirit, must break the dream of the material Insistence requisite senses. To heal by argument, find the type of the ailment, get its name, and array your mental plea against the physical. … Mentally insist that harmony is the fact, and that sickness is a temporal dream. Realize the presence of health and the fact of harmonious being, until the body corresponds with the normal conditions of health and harmony. 3. SH 390:12-17 (to suffering), 20, 29-4 When the first symptoms of disease appear, dispute the testimony of the material senses with divine Science. Let your higher sense of justice destroy the false process of mortal opinions which you name law, and then you will not be Unnecessary confined to a sick-room nor laid upon a bed of suffering … Suffer no claim of sin or of sickness to grow upon prostration the thought. Dismiss it with an abiding conviction that it is illegitimate, because you know that God is no more the author of sickness than He is of sin. You have no law of His to support the necessity either of sin or sickness, but you have divine authority for denying that necessity and healing the sick. Meet the incipient stages of disease with as powerful mental opposition as a legislator would employ to defeat the passage of an inhuman law. Rise in the conscious strength of the spirit of Truth to overthrow the plea of mortal mind, alias matter, arrayed against the supremacy of Spirit. Blot out the images of mortal thought and its beliefs in sickness and sin. 4. SH 391:7-9, 18-22 (to 1st .), 24-26 (to 1st .) Instead of blind and calm submission to the incipient or advanced stages of disease, rise in rebellion against Righteous rebellion them. When the body is supposed to say, “I am sick,” never plead guilty. Since matter cannot talk, it must be mortal Contradict error mind which speaks; therefore meet the intimation with a protest. … Disease has no intelligence to declare itself something and announce its name. 5. SH 392:4-8, 11-15, 24-27 Stand To cure a bodily ailment, every broken moral law should be taken into account and the error be rebuked. Fear, which is an element of all disease, must be cast out to readjust the balance for God. Casting out evil and fear enables truth to outweigh error. The physical affirmation of disease should always be met with the mental negation. Whatever benefit is pro Illusions about nerves duced on the body, must be expressed mentally, and thought should be held fast to this ideal. Stand porter at the door of thought. Admitting only such conclusions as you wish realized in bodily results, you Guarding the door will control yourself harmoniously. 6. SH 393:10-15 Exercise Exercise this God-given authority. Take possession of your body, and govern its feeling and action. Rise in the strength of Spirit to resist all that is unlike good. God has made man capable of this, and nothing can vitiate the ability and power divinely bestowed on man. 7. SH 417:10-16 Maintain the facts of Christian Science, — that Spirit is God, and therefore cannot be sick; that what is termed matter cannot be sick; that all causation is Mind, acting through spiritual law. Then hold your ground with the unshaken understanding of Truth and Love, and you will win.
