1. Ps. 103:2-4 (to 1st 😉
Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases; Who redeemeth thy life from destruction;
2. Mark 8:1 Jesus (to 3rd ,), 22-25
Jesus called his disciples unto him,
¶ And he cometh to Bethsaida; and they bring a blind man unto him, and besought him to touch him. And he took the blind man by the hand, and led him out of the town; and when he had spit on his eyes, and put his hands upon him, he asked him if he saw aught. And he looked up, and said, I see men as trees, walking. After that he put his hands again upon his eyes, and made him look up: and he was restored, and saw every man clearly.
3. Matt. 12:1 Jesus (to day), 10-13, 22-26, 28 Jesus went on the sabbath day
¶ And, behold, there was a man which had his hand withered. And they asked him, saying, Is it lawful to heal on the sabbath days? that they might accuse him. And he said unto them, What man shall there be among you, that shall have one sheep, and if it fall into a pit on the sabbath day, will he not lay hold on it, and lift it out? How much then is a man better than a sheep? Wherefore it is lawful to do well on the sabbath days. Then saith he to the man, Stretch forth thine hand. And he stretched it forth; and it was restored whole, like as the other.
¶ Then was brought unto him one possessed with a devil, blind, and dumb: and he healed him, insomuch that the blind and dumb both spake and saw. And all the people were amazed, and said, Is not this the son of David? But when the Pharisees heard it, they said, This fellow doth not cast out devils, but by Beelzebub the prince of the devils. And Jesus knew their thoughts, and said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand: And if Satan cast out Satan, he is divided against himself; how shall then his kingdom stand? … But if I cast out devils by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God is come unto you.
4. Matt. 17:14-21
¶ And when they were come to the multitude, there came to him a certain man, kneeling down to him, and saying, Lord, have mercy on my son: for he is lunatic, and sore vexed: for ofttimes he falleth into the fire, and oft into the water. And I brought him to thy disciples, and they could not cure him. Then Jesus answered and said, O faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you? how long shall I suffer you? bring him hither to me. And Jesus rebuked the devil; and he departed out of him: and the child was cured from that very hour. Then came the disciples to Jesus apart, and said, Why could not we cast him out? And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you. Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting.
5. John 14:25, 26 (to 4th ,)
These things have I spoken unto you, being yet present with you. But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things,
Science and Health
1. SH 271:20-22
Our Master said, “But the Comforter . . . shall teach you all things.” When the Science of Christianity appears, New Testament basis it will lead you into all truth.
2. SH 412:16-20, 23
To prevent disease or to cure it, the power of Truth, of divine Spirit, must break the dream of the material Insistence requisite senses. To heal by argument, find the type of the ailment, get its name, and array your mental plea against the physical. … Mentally insist that harmony is the fact, and that sickness is a temporal dream. Realize the presence of health and the fact of harmonious being, until the body corresponds with the normal conditions of health and harmony.
3. SH 390:12-17 (to suffering), 20, 29-4
When the first symptoms of disease appear, dispute the testimony of the material senses with divine Science. Let your higher sense of justice destroy the false process of mortal opinions which you name law, and then you will not be Unnecessary confined to a sick-room nor laid upon a bed of suffering … Suffer no claim of sin or of sickness to grow upon prostration the thought. Dismiss it with an abiding conviction that it is illegitimate, because you know that God is no more the author of sickness than He is of sin. You have no law of His to support the necessity either of sin or sickness, but you have divine authority for denying that necessity and healing the sick.
Meet the incipient stages of disease with as powerful mental opposition as a legislator would employ to defeat the passage of an inhuman law. Rise in the conscious strength of the spirit of Truth to overthrow the plea of mortal mind, alias matter, arrayed against the supremacy of Spirit. Blot out the images of mortal thought and its beliefs in sickness and sin.
4. SH 391:7-9, 18-22 (to 1st .), 24-26 (to 1st .)
Instead of blind and calm submission to the incipient or advanced stages of disease, rise in rebellion against Righteous rebellion them.
When the body is supposed to say, “I am sick,” never plead guilty. Since matter cannot talk, it must be mortal Contradict error mind which speaks; therefore meet the intimation with a protest. … Disease has no intelligence to declare itself something and announce its name.
5. SH 392:4-8, 11-15, 24-27 Stand
To cure a bodily ailment, every broken moral law should be taken into account and the error be rebuked. Fear, which is an element of all disease, must be cast out to readjust the balance for God. Casting out evil and fear enables truth to outweigh error.
The physical affirmation of disease should always be met with the mental negation. Whatever benefit is pro Illusions about nerves duced on the body, must be expressed mentally, and thought should be held fast to this ideal.
Stand porter at the door of thought. Admitting only such conclusions as you wish realized in bodily results, you Guarding the door will control yourself harmoniously.
6. SH 393:10-15 Exercise
Exercise this God-given authority. Take possession of your body, and govern its feeling and action. Rise in the strength of Spirit to resist all that is unlike good. God has made man capable of this, and nothing can vitiate the ability and power divinely bestowed on man.
7. SH 417:10-16
Maintain the facts of Christian Science, — that Spirit is God, and therefore cannot be sick; that what is termed matter cannot be sick; that all causation is Mind, acting through spiritual law. Then hold your ground with the unshaken understanding of Truth and Love, and you will win.

1. Num. 11:24 Moses (to Moses), 24-26 gathered (to 1st ,), 26 2nd and, 27 (to 2nd ,), 28 2nd and, 29
Moses … gathered the seventy men of the elders of the people, and set them round about the tabernacle. And the LORD came down in a cloud, and spake unto him, and took of the spirit that was upon him, and gave it unto the seventy elders: and it came to pass, that, when the spirit rested upon them, they prophesied, and did not cease. But there remained two of the men in the camp, … and the spirit rested upon them; and they were of them that were written, but went not out unto the tabernacle: and they prophesied in the camp. And there ran a young man, and told Moses, … and said, My lord Moses, forbid them. And Moses said unto him, Enviest thou for my sake? would God that all the LORD’S people were prophets, and that the LORD would put his spirit upon them!
2. I Kings 18:21 Elijah, 22 (to 😉
Elijah came unto all the people, and said, How long halt ye between two opinions? if the LORD be God, follow him: but if Baal, then follow him. And the people answered him not a word. Then said Elijah unto the people, I, even I only, remain a prophet of the LORD;
3. I Sam. 3:1 1st the, 3 2nd and, 4 the, 6 (to 1st .), 8-10, 19, 20 the child Samuel ministered unto the LORD before Eli. And the word of the LORD was precious in those days; there was no open vision. … and Samuel was laid down to sleep; … the LORD called Samuel: and he answered, Here am I. … And the LORD called yet again, Samuel. … And the LORD called Samuel again the third time. And he arose and went to Eli, and said, Here am I; for thou didst call me. And Eli perceived that the LORD had called the child. Therefore Eli said unto Samuel, Go, lie down: and it shall be, if he call thee, that thou shalt say, Speak, LORD; for thy servant heareth. So Samuel went and lay down in his place. And the LORD came, and stood, and called as at other times, Samuel, Samuel. Then Samuel answered, Speak; for thy servant heareth.
¶ And Samuel grew, and the LORD was with him, and did let none of his words fall to the ground. And all Israel from Dan even to Beer–sheba knew that Samuel was established to be a prophet of the LORD.
4. Jer. 25:2 Jeremiah, 5 dwell, 6 (to 2nd ,)
Jeremiah the prophet spake unto all the people of Judah, and to all the inhabitants of Jerusalem, saying, … dwell in the land that the LORD hath given unto you and to your fathers for ever and ever: And go not after other gods to serve them, and to worship them,
5. Matt. 21:11 1st the the multitude said, This is Jesus the prophet of Nazareth of Galilee.
6. Matt. 22:35 (to 3rd ,), 36-40
Then one of them, which was a lawyer, asked him a question, … Master, which is the great commandment in the law? Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.
7. Eph. 2:13 now (to nigh), 18-20 now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh … For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the
Father. Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellow-citizens with the saints, and of the household of God; And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone;
8. I Thess. 5:5, 6, 16, 17, 19-21
Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness. Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober. … Rejoice evermore. Pray without ceasing. … Quench not the Spirit. Despise not prophesyings. Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.
9. I Cor. 13:9-12
For we know in part, and we prophesy in part. But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away. When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things. For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.
Science and Health
1. SH 585:9-11 (to 😉
ELIAS. Prophecy; spiritual evidence opposed to material sense; Christian Science, with which can be discerned the spiritual fact of whatever the material senses behold;
2. SH 270:14-21
The prophets of old looked for something higher than the systems of their times; hence their foresight of the Prophetic ignorance new dispensation of Truth. But they knew not what would be the precise nature of the teaching and demonstration of God, divine Mind, in His more infinite meanings, — the demonstration which was to destroy sin, sickness, and death, establish the definition of omnipotence, and maintain the Science of Spirit.
3. SH 358:9-13, 15
Christian Science, understood, coincides with the Scriptures, and sustains logically and demonstratively every Scientific and Biblical point it presents. Otherwise it would not be Science, and could not present its proofs. … It presents the calm and facts clear verdict of Truth against error, uttered and illustrated by the prophets, by Jesus, by his apostles, as is recorded throughout the Scriptures.
4. SH 490:19-27
“Quench not the Spirit. Despise not prophesyings.” Human belief — or knowledge gained from the so-called True nature and origin material senses — would, by fair logic, annihilate man along with the dissolving elements of clay. The scientifically Christian explanations of the nature and origin of man destroy all material sense with immortal testimony. This immortal testimony ushers in the spiritual sense of being, which can be obtained in no other way.
5. SH 269:21-28
The testimony of the material senses is neither absolute nor divine. I therefore plant myself unreservedly on the Biblical foundations teachings of Jesus, of his apostles, of the prophets, and on the testimony of the Science of Mind. Other foundations there are none. All other systems — systems based wholly or partly on knowledge gained through the material senses — are reeds shaken by the wind, not houses built on the rock.
6. SH 131:6-7
When once destroyed by divine Science, the false evidence before the corporeal senses disappears.
7. SH 288:3-8
The suppositional warfare between truth and error is only the mental conflict between the evidence of the spir The great conflict itual senses and the testimony of the material senses, and this warfare between the Spirit and flesh will settle all questions through faith in and the understanding of divine Love.
8. SH 471:13-18
The facts of divine Science should be admitted, — although the evidence as to these facts is not supported by evil, by matter, or by material sense, — because the evidence that God and man coexist is fully sustained by spiritual sense. Man is, and forever has been, God’s reflection.
9. SH 207:27-31
The spiritual reality is the scientific fact in all things. The spiritual fact, repeated in the action of man and the whole universe, is harmonious and is the ideal of Truth. Spiritual facts are not inverted; the opposite discord, which bears no resemblance to spirituality, is not real.
10. SH 84:3-13
The ancient prophets gained their foresight from a spiritual, incorporeal standpoint, not by foreshadowing evil Scientific foreseeing and mistaking fact for fiction, — predicting the future from a groundwork of corporeality and human belief.
When sufficiently advanced in Science to be in harmony with the truth of being, men become seers and prophets involuntarily, controlled not by demons, spirits, or demigods, but by the one Spirit. It is the prerogative of the ever-present, divine Mind, and of thought which is in rapport with this Mind, to know the past, the present, and the future.
11. SH 98:4-6 (to ,)
The prophet of to-day beholds in the mental horizon the signs of these times, the reappearance of the Chris Spiritual tianity which heals the sick and destroys error, foreshadowings
12. SH 593:4-5
PROPHET. A spiritual seer; disappearance of material sense before the conscious facts of spiritual Truth.
